The Regional Contest for Schoolchildren of the Chelyabinsk University Educational District is an annual Olympiad aimed at promoting and assessing foreign language proficiency among school students. Competition Structure
The contest is divided into two stages:
Preliminary Remote Stage (December 1, 2024 - January 31, 2025)
- During this phase, participants will complete online assessments designed to test their foreign language skills. The tests will cover various aspects of language learning, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing.
Final In-Person Stage (February - March 2025)
- The top performers from the preliminary stage, along with the previous year's winners who continue their education, and the winners of the municipal stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad, will qualify for the final stage. This phase will be held in Chelyabinsk and will involve more rigorous assessments and oral examinations to determine the ultimate winners.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants eligible for the final stage include:
- Winners and runners-up of the preliminary stage.
- Winners and runners-up of the previous academic year's contest who are still in school.
- Winners and runners-up of the current year's municipal stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad.
